Choose the physical model first

Start with the quantities you know and the equation's assumptions. A constant-acceleration model, ideal gas law and simple resistor circuit each describe a particular system. Enter consistent units and distinguish mass from force, power from energy and concentration from amount. The formula and diagram help you identify what is held constant. If the real system violates those assumptions, increasing the displayed precision will not make the model more accurate.

Carry units through the calculation

Use the worked steps to check dimensions as well as numbers. A result with the wrong unit often reveals a missing factor or a mistaken input field. Constants and reference values are cited on the individual calculator so you can compare conventions. For measured data, retain meaningful significant figures and consider uncertainty. Numerical output is an educational aid and does not replace equipment specifications or a qualified review of a practical design.
