Centimeters to feet converter

A centimeter measurement often comes from a tape used for furniture, clothing or body height. Keep the full reading, including a decimal part, when comparing it with a specification written in another unit. A decimal length is different from a feet-and-inches notation.

One centimetre is about 0.032808399 feet. The centimetre is one hundredth of a metre, the SI base unit of length.

Multiply the number of centimeters by 0.032808399. For example, 180 cm × 0.032808399 = 5.905512 ft. To go the other way, divide by 0.032808399.

Multiply by 0.033. That is 0.6% high of the exact factor 0.032808399, so 180 cm comes out as 5.94 ft instead of 5.9055.
