Grams to ounces converter

Gram amounts commonly come from ingredient labels, kitchen scales and small parcels. When a shipping form or stock record expects a larger unit, preserve amounts below one whole unit as decimals. The conversion changes the label and number together; it does not change how much material you have.

One gram is about 0.0352739619 ounces. The gram is one thousandth of a kilogram, the SI base unit of mass.

Multiply the number of grams by 0.0352739619. For example, 100 g × 0.0352739619 = 3.527396 oz. To go the other way, divide by 0.0352739619.

Multiply by 0.035. That is 0.8% low of the exact factor 0.0352739619, so 100 g comes out as 3.5 oz instead of 3.5274.

Accuracy depends on your inputs and the method's assumptions.
